Hey everyone! So lastnight I watched the amazing film Dare to Dream which is based on the book The Secret.
And it got me thinking of all the amazing books I've read that have had an impact on my life! So I thought I'd share them with you, why I thought they were good and the books I've still to read that are on my to do list.
So my top 4 books:
The Secret by Rhonda Byrne, this book is in one word, amazing! If you haven't read this yet then you definitely need to. It's been made into films, YouTube documentary and is available on audible. It's one of my all time favourites because it does get you thinking, what if I do focus on the good instead of the bad, how can that change the way you live your life. It has first hand stories of how the theory of law of attraction works and truly makes the theory understandable.
No Matter What by Lisa Nicholls
I read this book just after I had been left by my ex partner and it was definitely what I needed to hear at that moment in time. It looks at a woman's experience of life and how her self sabotage had caused her many issues. It's a great book for identifying your own triggers to self sabotage that you might not even realise your doing. It's definitely an eye opener!
Kick Ass by Mel Robbins
Mel is the creator of the 5 second rule, everything she does she gives herself 5 seconds to pump herself up before going for it, when she's scared or worried or nervous, then 5,4,3,2,1 she does it. It's a great way to overcome any anxieties you have. In those 5 seconds you don't have enough time to double, triple check yourself you just do it and this book explains how the 5 second rule can help you in so many ways.
You are a Badass by Jen Sincero
The ultimate self belief book! Straight talking, no bullshit Jen tells you how to believe in yourself and stop doubting yourself. An amazing book that definitely gave me the kick up the arse I needed to make important life decisions when I read the book.
I can honestly say that without these books I don't think I'd be living the life I am now, they gave me the confidence, self belief and positivity to follow my dream and take that leap of faith to give up my day job and become a freelance Makeup artist! Which let's be fair doesn't feel like it was the right decision at the moment with everything that's going on in the world 🙈 which is why I've nailed down my next books to read to give me back some positivity in my life ❤️
These are:
Unfuck Yourself by Gary John Bishop
How to Stop Feeling Like Shit by Andrea Owen
Get Over Your Damn Self by Remi Neustadt
Good vibes, Good life by Vex King
Have you read any of these books, tell me your experiences in the comments!
